What size will the images be?
You will always receive 60Mb originals (though some cropping may happen due to image shape). That means you can use them for making zoom or close-up versions for online retail and print them at least A3. We will also give you website sized versions free of charge.
Note: For advertising shoots the director uses a top-end Hasselblad.
I downloaded the .zip file via the link you sent but I can’t open it?
The reason we use zipping is so that you don’t have to click to download each image. Macs and most Windows PC’s already have software that can unzip archive files. You can also download a free Stuffit Expander for Windows or Mac via the StuffIt website.
I need a Look Book done but only a PDF version and maybe couple of copies printed – is that possible?
Yes we can design a PDF Look Book that you can print yourself when needed. And we can upload it for you so you can just send a link and the viewer will see a book online that looks like a real book. We can also get a few digitally printed copies made for you at reasonable cost. More about Look Books.
Can you produce a high-end Look Book in large quantities?
We can do the photography, use other images you may have, and design the book. Then we will help you get it printed by one of the top specialists in London. We’ll go trough the technical process with the printer so you don’t have to. This type of printing is called litho and is for volumes in the hundreds or thousands. More about Look Books.
Our company sells stationery and we have thousands of items to put online, how would you quote for this kind of photography?
For large volume, low value items, we would consider bringing the studio to the warehouse. The quote would be a day rate with a target number of images per day. Style of the images would be simple to make the job efficient. If the target is missed then the day’s rate would be reduced. It’s all about making it possible within your budget. I need to crop and re-size some of my photographs, can you advice me how to do it without Photoshop?
Try Sumopaint, it does most of what Photoshop does. It’s a free online image editor, so no installation needed if you have a good broadband connection. Find the crop tool in the left side panel. And for re-sizing go to “image” on top menu and then “image size”.
